Firestone Country Club is a historical golf location nearby. Prestigious golf tournaments have been played there for many years. I was fortunate to attend one of the “practice” rounds when some of my favorite golfers were preparing for the weekend tournament. I followed this group for several holes. As always, I snapped numerous pictures hoping for the right moment. The moment happened. The little boy ran up to the golfers and asked for an autograph. I’m happy with the scene.
This painting is used in my design workshops as an example of digital collage. I combined the main characters earlier and several years later at another tournament, I collected the crowd in the background. I had to complete the story.
This painting was recently on exhibit in San Jose California with the National Watercolor Society exhibition.
