Street People Then and Now

Clyde Singer created many oil and watercolor paintings during his life. His creative spirit memorialized ordinary scenes of everyday life. “Street People” is one of those paintings and is part of the permanent collection of the Canton Museum of Art. A reproduction of the painting is on permanent display on Market Square in Canton. This painting is an homage to Singer through my own personal narrative of people, places and things in Watercolor. I have joined the past with the present in a creative display of an ordinary scene like Singer did so many times.
