Riding the Bike Lane III

This painting is a play on my theme of bicycles and bicycle riding.  I love riding bicycles and I love walking 5th avenue in NYC into Washington Square Park.  This painting is a combination of both of my loves.  The light and shadows on the day of my walk did such wonderful jobs making an ordinary scene something special.  This painting is of particular interest too because I had just visited the Salmagundi Club where my painting was displayed in the American Watercolor Society Exhibition.  Sometimes many things align themselves into the recesses of the universe and deep into my memory.  That is why I made this painting, not only for me but for others to enjoy.
