City Light

This painting came about by accident. I was walking to my hotel location in midtown behind a crowd going in the same direction. Crowds after dark on 6th
Avenue are not uncommon but this crowd was different because of its location. Bright lights from traffic and Radio City Music Hall created a dense
silhouetted mass of figures. The warm hues on the left side are practically evenly balanced with the cool hues on the right side. This painting helped define the title of my solo exhibit in Akron, Ohio which I named Urban Lights. Maybe it was the title of the show that influenced the title of the painting. Somewhat ironically, the painting City Light did not make it to the show named Urban Lights. Nevertheless, the painting was acquired by a collector in Canton, Ohio, and is included in his private collection.

Ted has issued a limited edition of this painting as Giclée reproductions. The reproductions are created using archival inks and paper. The image size is 14 x 21 (the same aspect ratio as the original) painting. Each piece in the edition is numbered and signed by Ted. Each is expertly framed ready to hang in office or home.
